Showers are likely before noon in SE GA and again after 2 p.m., as a cold front moves into the area. Elevated rain chances are anticipated to persist throughout the week.

Tuesday: Expect a hot and humid day with scattered showers and thunderstorms, with chances between 60-80 percent. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop early in SE GA and continue to spread in coverage through the afternoon and early evening. The main hazards will be locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Lows will be in the 70s, while afternoon highs will reach the 90s. Winds will come from the southwest at 10 - 15 mph. Partly cloudy overnight with patchy fog.

Looking ahead: A hot and humid week is expected. Active sea breezes from the Gulf and Atlantic, along with an incoming cold front, will keep rain chances elevated through Friday.
